Ranking outline licensed by Ralph Severe in Japanese Ninpo Bugei and Kobujutsu in the Kamiyama Dojo
These are the general ranking grades in Japanese Bugei of the Kamiyama Dojo. For more detailed grades please look below at the next list.
WHITE BELT - mukyu, Beginner student
GREEN BELT - kyukyu, 9th grade beginner student
GREEN BELT - hachikyu, 8th grade beginner student
GREEN BELT - nanakyu, 7th grade beginner student
BLUE BELT - rokukyu, 6th grade intermediate student
BLUE BELT - gokyu, 5th grade intermediate student
BLUE BELT - yonkyu, 4th grade intermediate student
BROWN BELT - sankyu, 3rd grade advanced student
BROWN BELT - nikyu, 2nd grade advanced student
BROWN BELT - ikkyu, 1st grade advanced student
BLACK BELT - shodan,1st level
A student cannot be ranked beyond shodan without one year of Kobujutsu Jissen Keiko with Ralph Severe.
Once a student is ready he or she is promoted to the next level of training and leadership at the Kamiyama Dojo, the Associate Instructor phases, 1, 2 and 3.
BLACK BELT - nidan,2nd level Associate Instructor 1st phase shidoshi-ho
A student must have 2 Okuiri “License Weaponry Outlines” to be promoted to Sandan.
BLACK BELT - sandan,3rd level Associate Instructor 2nd phase shidoshi-ho
A student must have 7 Okuiri “License Weaponry Outlines” to be promoted to Yondan.
BLACK BELT - yondan,4th level Associate Instructor 3rd phase shidoshi-ho
Once a student is ready he or she is promoted to the next level of training and leadership at the Kamiyama Dojo, the Instructor phases, 1, 2 and 3. The student must have 4 Mokuroku “License Weaponry Outlines” to be promoted to Godan.
BLACK BELT - godan,5th level Instructor 1st phase shidoshi
The student must have 7 Mokuroku “License Weaponry Outlines” to be promoted to Rokudan.
BLACK BELT - rokudan,6th level Instructor 2nd phase shidoshi
BLACK BELT - nanadan,7th level Instructor 3rd phase shidoshi
Kamiyama Togakure ryu Ninpo TaijutsuNo
Student to date has been ranked in Kamiyama Togakure ryu and no
student has premission to teach the arts of ninpo taijutsu, 3, 2008. The
only Students with training in or involved in this Togakure ryu training
are, Ben Adams, Robert Lane, and Damon Colson.
The Kobujutsu Jissen Keiko is a very special class with Ralph Severe. This class is limited to 8 students and is held in a private class style setting where the serious student gets very special attention from Ralph Severe on the Japanese warrior weaponry. Japanese Weaponry Ranking of the Kamiyama Dojo - licensed by Ralph Severe in Japanese Kobujutsu Jissen and Ninpo Bugei Bukijutsu of the Kamiyama Dojo.
There are 5 different weaponry outlines a student can research and get promoted in. Bojutsu, Sojutsu-Naginatajutsu-Bisentojutsu-Kamayarijutsu, Kenjutsu-Kenpo-Bikenjutsu, Kakushibukijutsu and Shurikenjutsu.
Okuiri, Basic license for beginning training in a weaponry category.
Mokuroku, Advanced license for a student who has learned the weaponry category.
Menkyo, Teachers license for a student who has learned the weaponry category.
Menkyo Kaiden, A student is fully license in the weaponry category as a ‘expert’ and has received all information in that weaponry category.
